What type of torque wrench and when was the last time it was calibrated. These are both questions to be looked at when dealing with this type of problem. I have seen some very nice brand new torque wrenches give some very bad figures.

Snapon 300nm was calied in Jan. Even if it was 50% off so I called for 150nm and it went to 225nm I still wouldnt nee a 2ft pipe to get the lugs loose. When tehy not cailed regularly tehy still are not that far off...

I always keep a Gorilla Lug Wrench in my truck for just these situations.
