I had a 17’ F250 with 2.5” carli pin top kit and mashed the shit out of it. The 17 Raptor with upgraded Fox 3.0, dominates in every way!!!

Disclaimer: I also have an SVC intercooler, SPD turbo adapters + downpipes, and a tune by the best damn raptor tuner in the game; GOOSETUNED!!!

So yeah, again, I do not miss the F250 in the least.

EDIT: I live in Commiefornia, so the diesel restrictions, taxes, fees, etc. etc., are absolutely unjust! Just another reason...

I had buyers remorse coming from Chevy HD2500 diesel. Funny to hear myself tell people I am "getting used" to my Rap. Its super fun though but def not a work truck.

I still have a 13 raptor but I bought a F250 with the 6.7 for towing and hauling some big loads that the Raptor could not haul but was bored with the style so I bought a new 6.4l Power Wagon. Holy cow! I think I found the perfect fit for me. I love the big truck feel of the F250 and the ability to load it down when I off road to my camp site, so since I’m not on Fords payroll, I thought I would give the Power Wagon a shot.

To the OP, yes I know how you feel.

I went from a 17 F-250 to an 18 Raptor. The ONLY thing I miss is sitting up just a little higher in the F-250, but I ameliorated some of that with a level kit and 37s. I don't haul or tow anything heavy, so the Rap is better in every way for me. The Rap is so much better off-road that it is literally no contest.

Good word, had to look it up, think I used to know it??? It’s an age thing I guess, haha.

I had a 2016 F250 Platinum with the Powerstroke. I Loved it and never would have gotten rid of it except for the Death Wobble that started at about 15,000 miles. I had it at the Dealership no less than 5 times. And the last time with 40,000 miles on it, a Month ago, Ford put a complete new Front End under it. It was worse than before.

So, I traded it back to the Dealer and got a 2017 Raptor with 39000 miles on it, which I Love. Now I joined this Forum to figure out what Modifications I should make in order to make it perform better. It is basically just my daily driver when I'm off the road from my Big Truck. I have learned a lot about my Raptor on this Forum in the Last month.

And Lastly, I do miss my Diesel but not continually dropping it off to get the Front End Fixed that Ford can't seem to figure out.

I had a 2014 F-250 Platinum and they are totally different trucks than the Raptor. I work in downtown Houston and park in a parking garage so the F-250 was a pain because of the longer wheel base. Power wise it's funny because from a dead stop the Raptor is faster, but man when the turbos are spinning on that F-250 and you pass someone at highway speeds it sure was an impressive engine. Ultimately I really never pulled anything that I needed the F-250 for and the stiffer suspension was kinda a PIA. The F-250 always felt like I needed to maybe put 300lbs of sandbags or something in the bed to help out the ride. The Raptor is a much smoother riding vehicle and although its wider, I find it much easier to get around downtown with. If I pulled anything then it would be different (ie boat/camper etc), but for what I do with the truck I really do love my Raptor. (Much more so after the MPT tune)

I went from a '15 F350 Platinum Diesel to my '18 SCREW 802A. The 350 was an awesome truck for sure but I also used to have a 43ft toy hauler and used my truck for work towing equipment trailers. The only towing I do now is my 8x16 enclosed with my RZR and 4 wheelers. The raptor can handle that no problemo.

If I ever need to tow heavy again I could definitely get into another big truck but the raptor suites me perfectly right now.

I went from a 15 F350 Platinum diesel to an 18 Raptor. I do miss the sound of the diesel even though and never hauled anything with it. It was basically a garage queen.

Been looking at diesels again.
