Bought my third Raptor this Summer. I love the truck and the way the V6 drives. I don't like the way the exhaust sounds unfortunately. I had also a 6 cyl 2015 F-150 platinum because they didn't make Raptors that year and it sounded fantastic! It sounded like a quiet NASCAR V8 when you got in the throttle. I have a couple of race cars and have been around fast cars all my life. This new 18 Raptor of mine has that blah 6 cylinder sound. What's the easiest mod to quiet and improve exhaust sound? I plan to trade it again in a year for the next Raptor and don't want to put too much effort into it since it takes all my spare time to keep our off road Racers going. Also, easiest way to turn off terrible auto shut off?

I did the corsa x-pipe resonator delete, sounds much better without being obnoxious. I’m happy with the change. Look up forscan to change the auto stop/start as well as many other great changes.

Thank you w f o. I looked up forscan and it appears to be an OBD2 scanner device that would hook into my computer? I assume you make changes on the computer then through the device? Do I need a specific one or the one on eBay or Walmart work okay? And then regarding the exhaust, I am looking for something quieter than the stock version or at least no louder but sounding less like a six-cylinder and more like a V8. Is that what your change accomplished?

I'm with you, I would like something a hair quieter. Hopefully there's a simple bolt on. I was parked next to a new king ranch with ecoboost (I think), he was pretty silent taking off. Something in between his exhaust note and mine would be great. I don't dislike the sound enough to spend a grand or two on it, but may be a few hundred bucks. :)

Yes on the forscan, I haven’t done it yet. Not sure you will find what you want in an exhaust. Check YouTube for sounds on different set ups.

There’s a much simpler fix for auto start-stop, unplug the trailer lights under the dash.

The exhaust sounds quite a bit different from inside. About a week ago, I came home and there was a Lightning Blue Raptor parked in front of my house of all places. Turned out, it belonged to family of a friend of my Niece. That was the first time I ever heard a Raptor driving away and it sure didn't sound very aggressive to say the least.
