I just looked back through my text messages with my dealer. I started asking him about the new Raptors as far back as 10/23/15. Was notified on 3/30/16 that he had received an allocation for winning the President's award. I've been waiting a long time for this truck and guess I can wait another month or two. Hopefully it gets here "soon", though.

The order banks didn't open until August and the earliest dealers would actually take orders, not place them, was late July. So, 4 months is about the max wait time possible.

Actually order banks opened on 7/20 - when I got my DORA. Some dealers weren't able to place orders until August for some reason, but mine wasn't one of them.

My dealer could not order till 8/11, they had four allocations, mine was number one and they placed all 4 on the same day, second one was picked up last week. Ford rep was there and she said late delivery, I asked how late and she said end of November early December. Ok November gone Early December is here!

Look at it this way... it could be worse. A hobby of mine is firearms and firearm accessories, and for something like a suppressor (silencer) the way it works is that you pay the dealer in full for the product, then send the government $200 and a request for what is essentially your permission slip to take possession of your new toy. In the mean time, the device in question is just sitting there, at your dealer, collecting dust. These days, it takes about 8 months to get that permission slip (NFA stamp) back.

The GM at my dealer just called the plant manager, and the plant manager said no Raptors have shipped yet. Take it for what it's worth.

I tend to believe this. I do a daily search on our dealer locator for screw and scab Raptors. There hasn't been a truck show up yet as "transit" that doesn't have a spray liner. The Raptors that go for a spray liner show "transit" when they go for the liner and when finished they show back up as "plant". Normally our locator shows "transit" when units are in route to us.

With that said the retail Raptor orders do not show up on our locator so I can't track those. But if Raptors were shipping there would have to be some stock units showing up as shipped also.

I've called multiple dealers that have Raptors showing up in the locator without the "Dealer Ordered", and they've all just said that they are in transit and don't know when to expect them. That could very well mean the trucks are sitting at the plant ready to be shipped but haven't left yet.

I really have no clue. The more I try to find out, the less I know.

Produced 11/28. Shows ETA of 12/5 this morning. My brother/dealer says he can't see that happening, but will know more in the morning. Mine was ordered "retail sold".
