Not true on the frame. Not even close. People just said that to justify the situation. There's a video out with someone going very hard on it and he even said no matter how hard he goes he cannot bend the frame.

You're right on the tire size, I should have said I like the old tires over the Ko2.

BTW grille stays put, and it's not nearly as flimsy. The hood is separated from the grille.

The switches have different amperages for different accessories.

-The switches have different amperages for different accessories.

- Gen 1 upfitters: 1,2: 30A, 3: 15A, 4: 10A

- Gen 2 upfitters: 1+2: 15A, 3+4: 10A, 5+6: 5A

For fun lets say you want to run a 40" 240W light bar. Current draw is ~20A on that at peak. see what I'm getting at?

- Glad the grille is nicer, I didn't poke at it when I looked at one, so all I can comment on is your statement that it goes up to the hood, but what you meant was goes up WITH the hood.

- Lastly, frame bending. You'd be surprised as to what will kill a frame. Check out this bump and it doesn't look super crazy, but it dump-trucked the frame real nicely. Don't be so sure it won't happen to a Gen2. Nobody has pushed these hard yet. With the right impact, something is going to have to give, and I know I'd hope it'd be the frame vs the axle.

I can't judge a gen2 because I haven't even ridden in one, let alone driven.

However, my dad has a 2017 FX4, and I can tell you, BOTH of us HATE that the grille doesn't go up with the hood. It makes it soooo much easier to get in the bay and work on, etc.

Thanks comrade, Original Jennifer isn't for sale, she's a keeper. Perfect in every way.

You can keep your cramped engine bay with Toyota grill that obstructs easy access to the engine bay and fuse box. It does sound like a Toyota so, at least the exhaust note seems fitting.

You can keep your lighter "stronger" aluminum body, that punctures when you drop a toolbox on it. Heavier is most often a better smoother ride when bashing through the desert at speed.

I'll pass on the climate saving high output ecotech motor and you can have it for drag racing, because that extra torque on dirt is a detriment, as you'll find out.

Enjoy hunting around the 10 speed and disabling auto stop/start 2-10x daily.

I'll also pass on your rear diff that unlocks at speed (in all modes), I mean, why have one at all?

And be careful at speed off road, because there are early (unconfirmed at this time) reports that Jen2 is somewhat unsettled so you might find yourself out of whack and no way to get it back resulting in a dangerous situation.

But yes, you will undoubtedly be treated like Justin Bieber if that's what you're after.

.. Especially if you wear those skinny jean saggy diaper yoga pants.

Don't forget that 2WD with Locker engaged isn't possible in Baja mode...
