Looking for Tonneau Cover Recommendations

What would you all recommend, Backflip mx4, Lomax, or a Retrax? Looking for a good bed cover that would be water tight and secure.

Had my Retrax for about 2 weeks and it’s rained almost every day. Barely any water and I didn’t even put the drain tubes in until yesterday because I was so busy working. Super easy to install too.

Agreed - it has to be raining sideways to get a few drops inside from my experience - the drains work great!

If it fits your needs, you can’t go wrong with BakFlip. I had the G2 on my previous F150 and Ram pickups. I believe the G2 was advertised as weather resistant but not really water tight. However, with some minor mods to the drainage rails I did get a water tight experience, even when going through heavy storms. It is flat out an excellent solution.

That said, it starts at just under $900 and other bakflips can go over $1000. For that price, IMO, the DiamondBack SE becomes a great option. I haven’t owned one but I have friends that have the SE or HD models. Both are outstanding with lots of accessories. That’s currently the route I’m planning to take for my Raptor. As a few others have said, it’s like it was made for the Raptor. It fits with the entire persona of the vehicle. On the downside, it has to be completely removed to open up the bed and it is much more bulky and cumbersome to handle than the Bakflip and similar tonneau covers.

I put a Peragon on my 2018 Raptor 2 years ago and have been very happy with it- so much so that I’m removing it and putting it on my 2020 Raptor once it arrives!

Anyone else used the Peragon retractable? I'm on the cusp of getting something and suffering paralysis by analysis. Also considering BAK Revolver x4 (matte black version of x2) and trying to sort out durability/happiness over time comments for both BAK models and Peragon Retractable. Thanks!

UPDATE: Since my truck is going to be covered 99.9% of the time and I've (1) seen good reviews on BAK Revolver x2, (2) spoken to several folks with the Revolver x2, I went with updated version (Revolver x4) to get matte Black finish to match the Magnetic Grey paint color. While it's supposed to hold up to 400 lbs. DISTRIBUTED (I won't do that), it does allow me to put things on the cover while loading. It looks great, it's quiet on the highway, and it gave me the LOW profile while deployed that I wanted to make it so you can barely tell it's there. Thanks!

Ditto the Lomax Tri-Fold is great. Did lots of research and Lomax for price point (around $800) and what I wanted (easily removable) clear winner. I got the Matte Black and love it for my 2019 blue raptor Easy install and removal is simple. Takes less than 2 minutes to remove and can do as one person. I need to take it off when loading mountain bikes.

The Lomax rocks. It’s ultra low profile, all metal construction, lightweight, can be folded back to expose 2/3rds of the bed, locks when closed and very water tight. Great price on these too.
