Looking for a reputable member that's willing to act as a go-between

I had somebody respond by PM to my post about wanting to buy a replacement taillight for a 2018 Raptor. He gives me an email address of a guy he knows that has one. I email the guy and he does apparently have one and is willing to sell it at a good price. He wants me to pay by Venmo, but I don't know this guy from Adam and I have no recourse if I pay and he doesn't send anything.

Would there be someone here that would be willing to act as a neutral third-party in this deal? He could ship the light to you and I can send payment to him once you receive the light. I'd gladly provide a shipping label along with a reasonable fee for the help.

So I think this guy is a scammer. He refuses to use PayPal and won't agree to go through a member here unless it's the zero post guy who referred me to him in the first place.
