Livernois Motorsports is looking for a customer with a 2010-11 6.2L Raptor interested in doing a camshaft swap.

This install will be shot for a two-part magazine technical article. Typically, when we do an install like this, we need some extra time, because the photographer likes to document every move we make.

In exchange for use of your truck, the package will be heavily discounted and your name will be mentioned in the magazine.

For the first part of the article, we are going to install a set of Ford Racing Raptor XT camshafts, springs, and custom dyno tune to see what kind of power we can achieve with everything else being factory stock.

To get the most power out of the camshafts, we believe the truck will also need longtube headers and a cold air kit; this would be the second part of the article.

The estimated cost of parts and labor to the customer would be $4,925.00. This price is highly discounted from the normal retail price.

If interested, please contact me via pm here or by email at [email protected]

The first person to contact me with a deposit will be selected.

Thank you

Regards,

Rick LeBlanc

Thank you to everyone who replied!

I had a ton of interest via email and pm's.

I have a local customer that said he would leave a deposit to be first in line. Andy, our shop supervisor is going to contact him now.

If something should fall through, I will go to the next person in line.

Once the testing begins, I will start a new thread.

Thank you

Regards,

Rick LeBlanc

So the cost of the kit and installation is 5K? How much is this kit without the so called heavy discount and labor cost...10K, 15K,? And what are the power gains, 50hp, 100hp, 150hp, ? I'm not really interested in street racing my Raptor, but I'll keep that in mind if anything changes in the future and I can't find a 500.00 nitrous kit.

Ray,

Since this will be the first one we do these mods to, we are not 100% sure, but we're thinking normal retail would be around $8,000-$8,500. Not sure of power gains, but I would guess 80-100 WHP.

As soon as we have answers to these questions, I will post.

Thank you

"Hidden" horsepower gains are important for us in mod-unfriendly California, so I'm curious to see what the results are without the LT's (and you are probably doing HF cats?)..
