Looking at a 2010 Ford Raptor SVT with under 100k miles.. how expensive to maintain them?

financing is expensive no matter what right now. honestly he would be best off ordering a maverick and going for an incentivized rate
Because I’ll be a dentist in a year and the car is over 6k lbs. therefore as an independent contractor, it’s a tax write off once you write a bill of sale to your own corporation as an associate or if you own the dental office. Therefore it ended up making sense once an accountant looked at

True, but if i remember correctly, it's only a write off if its offestting losses. Either way, cost pros and cons come into effect. Plenty of other 6k vehicle weight options also.

[Sarcasm=heavy] Yeah you can even get something with one of those 3.5L Ecoboost engines in it...

For me it’s all about how well they were maintained and how well you will maintain it. I have bought 2. First one with 90,000 miles and had no problems till it was totaled. Just bought my second with 142,000 but was maintained immaculately other than some rust. I beat it up but maintain it just like the prior owner. Local shop quoted $1200 for a major tuneup. Replaced all shocks with new $1600.

Yes you’re correct. But this one was immaculately well maintained, never off roasted and I’m using it as a pavement pounder. It’s a 2010 5.2L V8, most of you guys have 6.2L gen ones or gen 2s so it’s a baby version compared to you all but I love it and already got some used shocks for it that are going to rebuilt at Fox now. It’s about enjoyment for me and really the admiration of the raptor and being finally able to get my hands on a gold one, even though it’s the 5.4 which I still am loving it

How badly will this rust set me back to fix? Located in Midwest so expected to have a budget for repairs liek this due to winter and ice

Dang, that's some rust!
Rocker panels need to be replaced. The rest of it I just scraped off with soap and water on a sponge just now and gotta cover it in rust-oleum paint.

Rocker panels will cost $400 for a set, the labor is what I’m worried about. Built in a budget for this stuff but concerned it’s gonna cost me $3k for labor
