When I go to the gym I leave my keys in the truck and use the keypad to unlock when I'm through. First thing I did after getting the truck home was create my own passcode so I didn't have to remember the one that Ford assigns.

I've tried to lock my doors with the engine running so the truck will stay cool while I run in places but the doors don't remain locked. Stupid 2010.

I use the heck out of the keypad, one of the best features IMO, now I miss it on other cars that don't have it.

If I'm running into the store or something I'll lock the truck running with A/C on for my dog, very handy. Also if I'm playing sports somewhere and I don't want to bring my wallet/keys/phone in to lose I just lock EVERYTHING in the truck and use the combo to get back in. Yeah I know I could get burned if somebody broke the window and stole the truck, but I don't typically hang out in places where there's much risk of that.

My doors lock on my 2010 when I need to leave it running. Just hit the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons at the same time on the keyless entry after you close the door.

If you remote start the truck, it will shut itself off after either 5, 10 or 15 minutes whichever one u set it at.

I changed my code as soon as I got home as well. If I am out in the garage and need to get in the truck, don't have to go get the keys.
