Live valve rebuild

Hey, has anyone rebuilt the Gen 2 live valve front shocks/strut? Having a hard time trying to figure out how to get the IFP out to replace seals. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Watching as I've asked and seems everyone has those done or does not post up how to do it. YOU could be the pioneer if you made a how to!!! I'd be happy with a spec sheet with fluid amount, how deep to set the piston, torque specs etc, etc...

Tried the compressed air trick like the gen 1 shocks, no luck. After doing a little research, looks like the live valve needs 5vDC to active and free itself up. Going to try a couple things and I’ll report back to you guys.

Hey guys, sorry for the late response. I did get these live valve shocks rebuilt and are working great! Unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures of the process as we were needing to get the truck back on the road. Main thing that will be needed is a DC power supply variable, so you can power up the valve itself when filling and bleeding the shock. You want about 5-7 volts and I believe around 2-3 amps to open the valve. Other than that it’s pretty much the same process as the gen 2 shocks.

There is a special socket you’ll need to get to remove the live valve. RPG sells them

How many miles were on them before the rebuild?

These were done at 120,000 range if I recall correctly
