Live Valve in normal mode?

So if your in normal mode, no matter how bad of a trail or bumps, it will not go past the mode's limit. Youd think that if you started hitting huge dips or catching air, the cpu would realize this and switch to more extreme damping, even while in normal mode.
This is precisely what the live valve technology does. The different modes are designed to take on different levels. Example, in street mode, you are not going to hit big dips, or g-outs, you want it to remain more level with less body roll, so the shocks are turned in that direction. The still have the ability to adjust for a heavy g-out, its just not expecting it so its compensation is limited. In Baja mode, large bumps are expected.........

Doesn’t answer your question but there is a suspension button on the steering wheel. If you are transitioning to a dirt road/dunes you can hit the suspension button to change the suspension mode.

Thanks guys for the replies. It makes more sense now. On certain days im constantly going from smooth highway to rough unmaintained gravel pothole roads back and forth from one extreme to the other. It would probably be best to remember to go into baja or sport damper setting evertime, instead of just keeping it in normal mode for everything.
