Anyone else have a noise like this when stopped and then starting to drive forward again?
It's a very consistent toned whine. It's loud enough to hear if the radio is off even when the windows are closed.

It's almost like brake noise but from my testing of trying to repeat the noise it doesn't seem like it's my brakes.

Could be the turbo whine. I know mine is very distinct now but when my truck was stock it was barely noticeable.

Then again I would have to agree more with @smurfslayer the whine is more toned and sounds something like "Money pit!!!!!" coming from my passenger side. The only time I don't hear it is when I buy her something.

I had a slight whine that went away when turning right. It was the front passenger wheel bearing. Got it replaced under warranty.

You have a wife too, huh? :)

Hahaha I do.. but the whine happens when it's just me quietly in the truck. :)

It doesn't make the noise in reverse just forward. Best way to replicate is to drive around a residential neighborhood where there's a stop sign like every 200 ft.

This is my first turbo vehicle. Do turbos whine even when it's very low throttle and not building boost?
I've definitely heard them hiss when driving in narrow areas but that's a different noise
