I have the 2FG set up and even reached out to AWE because I didn't think it sounded right. Josh explained the carbon build up helping quiet the exhaust down and even after having it for less than a week I can say it has improved. For me I was getting what I would describe as drone between 45-55, while in a high gear and between 1100-1600 rpm. It had quieted down and while still a little annoying at 1200 rpm (while holding speed steady and in a high gear but lower speed, it is great on the highway) anything else is now pleasant. Cold start is very loud but I like it and idle had a nice deep burble I really enjoy. You can hear downshifts which is awesome and while a little raspy when you're really stepping on it, I prefer the sound over stock.

The wife hates it, she couldn't understand why I spent money and time on it.

I wonder if AWE had the exhaust on their truck with enough time for carbon to soften the edges, we know CJ was probably just an install with immediate sound test after.

I’ll double check the install when I get home. The fit and finish is great and the install was pretty straightforward. I have put around 100-150 miles on it, the sound hasn’t changed. I’ve been trying to break in my new deavers so perhaps something has shifted.

My truck is a crew cab and perhaps the interior acoustics are a bit different than a scab. I’m sure the factory axle back portion must change the sound a bit compared to the AWE axle back and tips as there are some kinks and bends in the factory system.

The 1fg is considerably louder than factory at all levels of driving and I’m not enjoying the sound it makes when I’m just cruising in stop and go city driving nor steady state cruising on the highway.

It does sound great at full tilt, I just can’t drive like that all the time.

We did thorough testing on both cabs. The white one shown in the images was the other truck used in development.

Re: the tailpipes, a bit of a reach. We're talking a minuscule difference, if any.

Break-in consists of 800-1000 miles.

I probably only have 400 miles on mine and like it better but idk if it changed or not. I do enjoy the down shifts as well

Bingo on both comments. The exhaust on the truck in our videos was broken in -- i.e. a true representation.

Actually @Guy, he’s not wrong. I’ve had probably a dozen bike exhaust systems and the thin TI exhausts all have a “tinny”, “raspy” or raw quality to the sound at some point. The Muzzys TI systems were infamous for this years back, but they generally put down good power so it was only really a problem if you were stuck behind someone with that system :-0

This and a few other systems out there prove that the ecoboost sounds better with some exhausts

There is a little break in on exhausts and you get used to it as well I think. I guess we will see how this sounds when I get mine and hear it in person. With videos different cameras and mics will be different. When I installed my custom Milletech exhaust on my Turbo AWD Volvo that makes 804awhp I thought it was way too loud but after break in I don't think it is bad at all. Cant wait to try this setup on my Raptor.

Hi, everyone. Hope the weekend was kind to you.

First and foremost -- everything heard in our videos is organic. I make them myself, and the sounds captured are straight from the shotgun mic (model DM-100).

Given that CJ videos (in the past) have featured other modifications paired to our exhausts, I have reached out for clarity re: their videos.

Edit: the trucks also features "Mountaintop Tuning Turbo Exhaust Adapter Kit Hi-Flow."

For those who have ordered through them: we are working with them to get your orders to your faster than the quoted timeline.

Our satisfaction policy: in the event you are not satisfied, you have 30 days to return it. More information can be found right this way.

Thanks for chiming in. It helps knowing about the ability to return if the product is unsatisfactory. I’ll give it a shot and provide a write up/review. Thanks again.
