You guys paying under $500 for the bed, do you have the Premium Line-X or just the regular stuff? The $626 for the Premium doesnt bother me too much, its the fact that they dont know too much about Line-Xing the fender wells. I dont want to be the guinea pig.

Premium. a full year later still looks brand new, even in texas sun

edit - yeah I would definitely check them out on Google, see what people are saying. We have two shops on the Fort Worth side of DFW, one by Carswell that does amazing work - saw them linexing a H2 when I was there, and one in Richland Hills that has so many bad reviews I'm amazed someone hasn't run over him yet - tales of Linex on the pain, windows, peeeling, etc..

I can't stress enough how tricky the wheel wells are. One note is that most of the places have insurance rules that will not allow them to remove your rear wheels. One way is to talk to them and bring some jack stands and do it yourself so they get a better shot at it.

Sounds like a PITA. I think I'll stick to just the bed. I'm gonna check a few other local places to get a price quote. Maybe I can get the Premium a little cheaper.

Most shops don't remove bed bolts. Though I think most shops should remove the bolts. I can tell you that Ford does not remove them when you get the factory spray. I have the factory spray and ford did not remove the bolts.

Regardless, if they remove the bolts it can only go back one way and when you have all the bolts threaded, it should align the bed (in theory)

Apparently the place that did mine removes your bed bolts so they don't LineX over them. Makes removing the bed later on alot easier or some shit. I guess while the bolts were out they knocked the bed out of alignment.

I got all the way home before I noticed that the bed was a good inch off.. If I had known they removed them I would of checked before I left. I went back and they spent 20+ minutes trying to get it back where it was suppose to be. They were trying to say my truck wasn't straight when she had less then 700 miles on her at that point.

It's still not 100% right.. I just wanted to get out of there as I had been there for over 6 hrs at that point, so I told them to bolt it down and left. I figure next time I'm over my buddies with the lift & air tools we'll straighten it out right.

I will tell you the wheel wells are definitely worth the trouble. especially on the white raptors - mine looks so much better with it done.

a note on the bed bolts - yes they should remove them. I had a stripper pole that I didn't like so I removed it and got the Ford cover plate - the bolts that hold that on were a bit iffy (you could over crank them) so I had them LineX'd over.

I believe the holes in the bed are bigger then the bolts. They loosened the bolts and we were able to move the bed quiet a bit in either direction.

Did you guys wait for them to finish? if so, how long? Or did you just drop it off and pick it up later in the day?

They had my Raptor for the whole day, but they told me it took the about 2.5 hours to do from start to finish. I had better things to do than sit around waiting.

What ever it costs to do the wheel wells in your area DO IT! It's worth it! Best move I ever made with LineX. Sooooo easy to clean and looks great. I had no issues having mine done as far as removing the wheels, they had no problem taking them off to do the wells.
