Don't bother. I made this mistake. First trip in the sand...it was sandblasted and peeled off. Hung off in chunks. Waste of money.

If I'm not mistaken, Line-X dealers can apply a undercoating that isn't like their bed protectants. It's more rubberdized and I think it's supposed to hold up better than their regular stuff.

Line X - Love it...

Hey guys, I had it done because they guaranty it for life. I used the shop in Orange CA that use to be a distribution center and Line X got too big so they turned it into a retail shop. The owner told me that it would take him most of the day because of the prep. I stayed and shot pictures and they let me in the back to watch as well. I've been to Death Valley and rocked out my undercarriage so bad that my FOX shock guards were wasted in one two day outing and the Line X is perfect. I didn't go for the Premium because I have a Back Flip I have on the truck 90 percent of the time. I do remove it when I load up the back with tools and another spare tire. I also just got back from testing my shocks at Barstow this past weekend and it didn't see too much abuse. The roads and whoops were nice and wet and sandy. It was an awesome trip!

BTW, I did remove my flares and plastic mud flaps for them. I wanted to make sure they had the best access to the wheel wells. LOVE the Line X...

Mictouch, you didn't want to linex the flares?

Stutide, I'd go premium if you are going to do it. I think it looks better. Hard to believe the stuff peeled off, SPRSNK. I wonder if you got a bad batch.

The Line-X place I spoke to today in SC said they cant warranty the wheel wells but have done a bunch of Raptors and NEVER had a problem. THey said if there was ever a problem they would fix if for me. They didnt have the rubberized stuff or colors available. Something about a State law with the color? THink I agree the premium under the wells is the way to go.

Hmmm. "They can't warranty it, but they will fix it for free." Get that in writing. Sounds like a warranty to me!

How much time does your truck spend on off track excursions? If not much, you might be OK.

I got herculiner under mine. 2 coats and still holding up strong. It bonds to itself so if repairs are needed, you can clean it and apply. A quart is all you need for all four corners.
