I just got a quote to line-x the stock bumpers, fender flares, inner wheel wells, and grill for $1000 plus tax. (Standard level)

I'm not sure what others have been paying but I'm thinking this is on the higher end of the spectrum for line-x.

My plastidip is staying on just fine. That's after a 600 mile rd trip, one car wash. Still pretty fresh.
But I do plan on getting boatecs and my RR bumper is coming in soon... No point in line x right now for me.

I used a place called Inyati in Chandler, AZ. I had bumpers from Rockslide Engineering and all four fender flares done for $750 including the UV protector. After 3-4 months everything is holding up well. Flares did not get warped or anything but they have to coat both sides so that it wraps the entire flare. They said they also used some sort of etch or spray that helps with adhesion.

I searched a bit and didn't come up with this specifically.

Typically I black out my vehicles. Painting all possible trim gloss black to match the vehicle. With the Raptor, I think that would take away too much of the ruggedness. I've seen pics of a few on here that are all one color and they look great, but unless they are parked next to a 'normal' 150 they don't seem to pop as much.

So an idea I had was to line-x (or similar) the flares, and grille.....aftermarket bumpers in a line-x finish to follow.

I'm not very familiar with the product though....is it something I can do? Will it hold up on plastic parts? With it change color/fade?

Thanks for any info, suggestions, pics etc.

Thanks!

Here are a few pics (page 2)

^ wow, that looks nice. I found a thread on removing the flares. Is it as easy ad 'sliding a sharpened chopstick' like the other thread said?

The local LineX guy wants $400 for spraying the fender flares w/ premium. that's me removing and installing. How's that price comparing to everyone else's ? I'm looking to LineX all 4 fenders, both bumpers, hood vents and the skid plate. Does anyone have any pics of a black Screw with LineX-ed areas that I mentioned ? The bed came from the factory w/ LineX .... I'm assuming (by what the dealer told me) that they used premium, but who can really tell. also, I'm thinking about LineX-ing the lower portion of the sides of my truck, ...say about 1 foot above the running boards...guess that's up to about the horizontal running crease area.... Anyone have any suggestions? .... I personally like the matte wrap that a few have posted pictures of .....someone said it costs around $4k ...but that's just a little too much $$$ for me. I'm looking to stay around $1,500...so LineX is probably what I will do. some reason i just can't bring myself to do a rattle-can application.... I'm with REKIIII on this, plasti-dip just isn't the look I want.

I think I may pull the trigger on line-x. My local shop wants $450 for the fender flares in premium, no talk about me taking them off myself. I also wouldn't do that myself... I'm not, in any sense of the word, handy. I know ill end up breaking a clip.

It never dawned on me to have the hood vents, rocker panel, and skid plate done too. I would imagine I'd be looking at an additional $600-$800 for these three additional parts alone, if not more.

Update: New price... Different Line x shop.
$250 for all 4 fender flares,
$600 for left & right rocker panels, (still on the fence if I'm doing them until I see some pictures)
$175 for front bumper,
$175 for rear bumper.
$100 for removal and installation of the flares & front and rear bumpers.
$1,300 total ... Everything's getting premium coat. I drop the truck off
So what does this price look like compared to what everyone else is getting?
I asked him to quote each line item so that I could figure out which ones were costing a boat load.
If I don't do the rocker panels, I will save a bunch of bananas, but just need to see pics of someone's raptor with it done to make the decision.

1st shop I called was nearly double on the flares.

Personally, I would not do the rockers.
