What the heck is this?? I guess you have to own one to know...I should know in less than 3 weeks and will test this when on my 800+ mile drive back to CA from CO.

I would think the exhaust drone would muffle any low density cabin noise when stereo is off. Maybe the exhaust is quieter at hwy speeds than I thought. Side note, might have to fix that with a new exhaust sign ie automatic double baffle system connected to interior aux switch's so I can be stealth, regular, or loud yet tuned!

Can you hear the noise at all speeds ie hwy and city? Other than this comment and one person saying the Sony stereo was lacking....all else sounds wonderful.

I like the criticism though....helps prepare me for my own views once I get mine and start critiqueing it.
I can only hear it at low speed when it's rolling giving it no gas.I have the SSW catback exhaust with s- tube mufflers,so its loud.

I don't have mine yet, but I find the gauges (speedo and the tach) very boring. On the FX4 and other f-150's they have lit hash marks on the outside ring...looks very stylish, and fun to look at. Granted I am being extremely picky, but seriously. In Canada i'm going to have to pay close to $81,000 for the damn thing.

Below is a pic of the 2012 FX4's Dash, and i think it looks awesome!

  • Muscle truck with lots of power!
  • Stying is very masculine and hip - turns heads at every stop light!
  • Driving this truck is FUN!
Dislikes:
  • Front camera activation requires three buttons.
  • Sony speakers are poor quality - sound is distorted at moderate volume.
  • Stock bed liner doesn't fit because the bed is wider than the liner even though Ford species the stock liner for a Raptor.
  • Sync can be erratic at times: iPhone sometimes disconnects on its own; voice recognition mis-recognizes words; importing your own playlist to the Jukebox requires a LOT of patience; traffic overlay is lame compared to other nav units such as those on BMW;
  • Lack of interior foot well lighting - LOL

The inner bed should be identical for the Raptor as any other truck. It's just the outer bed sides that are different. Sounds like they got you the liner for a different year truck or something if it doesn't fit right.

The Ford part number for the bed liner that the dealer ordered and deivered was: AL3Z-8400038-AB - Bed Liner Styleside 5.5'

The attached pictures show the problem. The liner does not tuck under the side rails near the head of the bed thus allowing water to pour under the bed liner. To me this means a future rust problem. It seems like sloppy design.

I'm going to ditch the bed liner in favor of Line-X or Bed Rug liner.

I've seen a lot of liners end up fitting like that. That's not a raptor specific thing. The bedliner in my 04 Lightning and 00 HD both had a similar fit at the front.

There are drain holes at the front edge of the bed so water will run out, but bedliners are so out dated I'm surprised they even still sell them. Every truck I've bought that had one I immediately yanked them out, and in some cases just sawzalled them up for the recycling bin because I couldn't even give them away for free. Bedrug, bedtred, or spray in is the way to go 110%.
