I'll bet it doesn't beep so you learn to use your back-up camera more often. I had both sensors that beep'd + lit up via sensor lights mounted in the back of the Jeep cabin I could see in my rearview + a back-up camera. Guess what, I never used the rear camera OR hardly used the rear light up sensors....only the beep to guide me.
Now that I think about it, while we should have the option to choose the beep or not......only having the camera will get us better at using the rear camera.
I'm 50/50 on this again bc I never used my last rear camera BUT am hopeful the larger screen + better screen sensors make it an easy transition. I'll bet it's an Insurance thing.....the beep option doesnt matter in a truck like the raptor...people HAVE TO look REAR instead of listen REAR to where they are going in a truck like the raptor. Otherwise, Hints, the girl who "relied and blamed" her bumper accident on no rear beeps. That sucks for Dad btw!
Haha. I already told myself NO ONE BUT MY SALESMAN @ PDI (plus get accessory's installed) AND ME ARE DRIVING MY TRUCK FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST 3 MONTHS! NO ONE!
