Hey everyone,

Here is some information on lighting optics. The brightest light is worthless if it is not where the driver needs it. Most LED light systems use optics from third party companies. The majority of these optics produce round shapes, similar to a flashlight. All "spot" patterns are round to achieve maximum distance, but much of the large circle light is wasted at the top and bottom because it is not usable by the driver. Driving lights should be wider and more oval in shape to take maximum advantage of the available light provided. Quality optics efficiently use the LED light output to place the light right where you need it. In addition different terrains require different light patterns. If you drive in multiple terrains, you will want to change your light pattern based on the specific elements of that terrain.

Each optic in a Baja Designs LED light is user changeable to create a spot, driving, or cornering light. This Means you can modify your light depending on the terrain instead of buying multiple lights. Baja Designs provides optic designed by an engineer with over 30 years of real world off-road experience.

Thanks,
BD

So if I get a stealth bar does it come with the same number of optics?

say 10 leds in bar does light comes with 10 wide and 10 spot ??

Im thinking about doing 5 10" lights on the bar im building and would want center 3 lights spot and the outer two on each side wide beam.

Also could you pm me what kind of deal I could get on 5 10" I dont want to do a single 50" I am building a curved bar for over windshield.

No the Stealth does not come with the same number of optics, but the optics are interchangeable and user friendly. The 10" Stealth has 2 floods on the outsides then the 8 on the inside are spots.

Can we order more optics? To make one 10" bar only spot or only flood?

Heres the Bar I was talking about in the PM.

Thanks Lance

Hey Lance,

Yea, you can definitely order more optics when if you decide that you want a custom pattern. Yes, it would allow for you to make a bar all spot or all flood. Very nice bar, I think it will look really good. Now it comes down to personal preference LED or HID.

Thanks,

BD
