I can see what you guys are saying and in theory makes sense. But so far I haven't heard anything bad about cheaper stuff from anyone who owns it. And if anyone has please point me in that direction because I really would like to know.

Dude ain't no theory about it. If you wanted to save money you should not have purchased a Raptor in the first place! You buy cheap crap your going to end up with mucho problems. You think there are lights out there that someone is selling at half the price of everything else cause they like you? It's cause they are made cheaply! Nothing in the world wrong with saving money and our vendors can certainly do that for you but none of them will sell you cheap crap.

Just because they are cheap, doesn't mean they wont work the first, second, or 50th time. But what about the 2000th time? probably not. You'll probably have to buy like 5 of those cheapy light bars, when you could have bought one that was better built, and backed by a warranty. For good quality, and a price that won't make you cringe, I suggest Bulldog Lighting. Made in the USA and backed by a warranty, we put them on our own trucks.

If you got any other questions about lighting, or about anything else, just toss over a PM!

I buy cheap stuff all the time because I don't need a name on it. I just make sure I research first that it fits my needs. Because of this is why I can afford a Raptor. And just because I can afford something doesn't mean I should buy it or overpay for it. So maybe for some people it is better others not necessarily. You can buy cheap without buying crappy as long as it suits your needs in the long term.

Some Chinese ones disintegrated like candy in the rain. Use the search button.

Here ya go I did it for you.
Thank you for this.
However if the company is willing to replace the lights and make it right I dont see an issue. Hard to get real life testing for things like these without putting it out there. This is also the guy who is currently making the long awaited fog light shrouds at a reasonable price that everyone cant wait to get their hands on.

And that is reasonable imo and I would be interested in something like this.

With that said some people wont go that 2000th time at least not in this Raptor. For instance if they ever do come out with another Raptor I assume I will have one in 5 years because I likely wont buy the first or second year runs. Take into account I have 3 children and dont get to go out and offroad much. If I am extremley lucky I will use offroad lights six times a year. Times that by 5 years and I will only need to use the lights 30 times. Now do I really need a gaurentee these lights will last for 50,000 hours. Probably not. Lets just say I run them for 8 hours for those 30 days. Still at 240 hours of use. So even if I go extreme not going to happen hypothetical for myself I only need these lights to last for about 1000 hours max outside of rust and corrosion.

Sounds like your mind is made up Bud. I doubt you are going to find anyone here who says, "Oh, I have those Amazon lights and love them" You were already given the less inexpensive options that we run on our trucks and buy from our vendors. Not sure what else we can do to help you. If you buy the Amazon light be sure to do a write up or something.

However, I will tell you a little story about a radio our ex roommate bought off Amazon alot cheaper than one of our vendors. It turned out being complete junk that didn't even fit his car like advertised, shipped from China of course. As far as his return, sure Amazon would refund his $300 after he send the radio back to China, no return label though. Lets just say he learned a $70 lesson on that one.

That is something you don't have to worry about with our vendors. Talk to Mik at M&R we have two of his light bars and they work great for our needs.

Another thing is re-sale value. If you sell the truck to a raptor enthusiast, he/she's going to appreciate, and usually pay more of a premium for better lights, dealers may give you a small kickback as well. Also, say you don't really want your lights anymore for whatever reason. The chances of you selling Chinights here are going to be significantly less than selling a quality light, which are eaten up like candy on the WTS section usually.

This is probably for me and thank you. My mind is not made up on what I will choose just in the fact that I have not heard anything yet to convice me of why I should spend money more for my applications thus far. But research is an ongoing process. M&R is actually one of the cheaper alternatives that I am considering as opposed to Rigid, Vision, or Baja. Bulldog and Tuff Stuff were good recomendations as well that I have to research further. I am not even opposed to Rigid, Vision or Baja if there is a reason other than it is better for longer use or seems to be better finish that doesn't rust or corrode.

My main argument here was against the more expensive=better sentiment. Which I don't agree with in all cases since every person will use things differently and has different taste. Now if something is crappy then it is crappy no matter how much it costs. I spent plenty of money on expensive crappy stuff which is why I thoroughly research things now instead of just buying the "it" thing or most expensive item.

I wasn't mentioning any names. The OP wanted to know about any problems with cheap Chinese lights and I was helping him out with a link, you could do the same instead of complaining about what I posted.
