My install

Here is how I installed my Light cannons. This may be multiple posts, I'm not sure how many pictures I can post at once.

I picked up some aluminum bar at my local Ace hardware and a selection of stainless hardware. The aluminum is 1/4" thick by 1-1/2" wide and 4' long, so I still have plenty.

I cut a couple of pieces 6-1/2" long and drilled holes for the mounting. I believe the lights needed a 3/8" and the mounting bolt I put in needed a 5/16" hole.

Assemble the assorted hardware as shown. There are 5 stainless washers under the light to space it down a little more. if you want to space it down further, you will need a longer mounting bolt for the light cannon. It is currently an M10x30 so a 40 or 50 will give you plenty of movement potential.

I removed my headlights to get to the mounting location easier. There is a hollow bar that runs left to right in the front of the truck. The fenders mount to it in places. I figured I could make it work for the lights. I drilled two holes in a place that I thought would work OK. There are actually holes in the bottom portion in these two places.

I put my mounts over the top of this bar and ran the bolts through. There are two big stainless fender washers on this bolt, One on top and bottom. you don't need to crush it when you tighten it down. The light is only around 2 lbs, it won't move. If you tighten it too much, you'll crush the hollow tube. ideally, I would have a collar I could put inside to prevent that. No such luck for me, at least not just now.

Built my wire harness with the included connectors. Solder and heat shrink on all connections. Covered in techflex and zip tied. Ran it through the truck to both sides and up to the upfitter wires.

Output shots
All shots were taken with the Kit lens on my Nikon D90
4 sec shutter speed, F16, ISO 1600. Camera was on a short tripod on the roof of the truck. I used a wireless remote to trigger the shots.

Dude that's pretty ******* nifty haha nice way to make your own brackets! Looks good!

Thanks. It'll work.
I may get some longer M10 bolts to space the light down a little more. My Ace didn't have any M10 stainless in stock. I'll have to check somewhere else.

nah two sets in the openings will be too much it'll start to cut into the light output and wont get all of it through the bumper opening but one is plenty! just get another set for hood mounts haha

Man, this looks amazing. Looks like with some more fit and finish, two sets??

Yeah, I don't think you could get two in there behind the bumper. If you could fit it, I think I would be worried about the tire coming into contact with the back of the light. It would have to stick into the wheel well a little, and with 0 offset wheels, it might hit. You could probably fit a D2 or Dually, or one of the smaller VisonX lights to the outside of where I have them mounted. The light cannons are just too big to fit two there.
My Euro covers are do to arrive tomorrow, so I can get some output shots with those on. As of now, the spot beam has some mean distance.
