My 2019 has 62k on the clock and I took it to the dealer for a 60k service. They said the only thing required was plugs and after inspection of transmission, they also changed the fluid. I specifically asked them to inspect brakes and I was told at least 20% of pads remained. The service Rep also said that the breaks will make some type of sound when the pads need replacement. can anyone elaborate on the type of sound if in fact that was correct?

Yeah when the indicator gets to the rotor they'll start squealing, you won't miss it. And then they'll tell you the rotors are scored and they need to replace them as well... And your full brake job all around for them with parts and labor will probably be 1500. I'm just guessing at cost, I do my own brakes.

If you’re sticking with OEM brakes look into the police pursuit rotors and pads. These were big improvement on my truck in terms of fade resistance and modulation. They’re a little louder (semi metallic?) but don’t create as much dust. I believe there’s only an option for front brakes and cost is similar to stock set up.

I just changed my brakes....

rotors and pads at 137k. I had the vehicle since 15k. When I changed the brakes, even then they had what appeared to be another 30k on them.
