I am looking to level my 2013. Saw on here one time that there are perch settings on the fox shocks that can be used instead of buying a leveling kit. I asked a guy at a garage the other day and he said that’s not true with mine that I would need a leveling kit. Is that true or is he full of S#%*!

There are perch settings for sure. Wether or not this provides a true level or not I am not sure of.

If yours are on the standard setting you probably won’t see it, but in the pic below you can see the ring below the bottom of the springs where the standard setting is. These shocks are on mid perch.

Look in the suspension sub forum, you've got a few options for leveling your 2013. If you're on stock suspension, you're probably on bottom perch. You can go to top perch and be level or very close to it. Others say that ride quality suffers by going to top perch. I bought my truck used and its on top perch. It is a bit stiff but I'm not sure if thats from other reasons such as tires, or other mods that were done to the truck.

I like my height, its level from looks and my measurements. You could also keep it on bottom perch and get Eibach / Geiser springs which will raise it the same height from what I've read. You could also get 3.0 shocks, Kings, Icon, Fox are the popular ones, and then you can adjust your height as well as ride quality.

For perch settings, there are diy videos and write ups you can refer to. Eibach / Geiser springs seem like a simple switch as well. I could see myself doing either the perch or spring mod myself, but I'd probably have a shop do 3.0s if I ever go that route.

Whatever you decide upon, alignment is needed.
