So what was cut out & replaced? Was it a portion of the frame, or the bottom of the cab?

I guess it would be considered the "rocker panel" part of the bottom of the cab on both sides. Running along near the pinch welds, ended up having some really bad portions on both sides, even though only one side had a full-on hole through. They just cut out all the rot and welded new metal in.

I was honestly really bummed about it when I found it, but I figured let's just clean it up and have fun with it, rather than just dwell on it too negatively, and, well, here I am. lol

Fixing or replacing a section of a steel floor on a mass-produced truck is definitely not a deal-breaker. (We had three different roofs in 2 racing seasons on a '96 extracab Ranger race truck due to "driver error".)

If the seller acknowledges the cost of the repair, and isn't gonna do it himself, it can drop the price & eliminate 95% of potential buyers

My only regret in life is I didn't see your first intro post. I would have invoked my degrees: My BS, MS, and PhD. I would've given you B u ll Sheeyat, More Sheeyat, Piled Higher and Deeper.

Oh, and good afternoon.
