My guess is that the V8 will be a $10,000 option, some additional options may be required to bump that higher.

Then, the ADM will make it almost impossible to find one under $100,000. I don't think you'll find many dealers that won't have a significant markup on the R.

$100k (or more) is about what it takes to get a TRX so I would expect the same for the R.
I’m still somewhat skeptical that the R will ever be produced though. I hope I’m wrong as I would try very hard to get a new one.

That’s not 100% accurate. You have to be willing to shop around, but there’s dealers out there selling at MSRP if you really want a TRX. Some are taking orders for a 2022 model for $5,000 off MSRP. Again, you just have to be willing to put in the time and look.

If they are built in limited numbers, they will surely have a high markup. I just don't see how/why Ford would put much effort into the R when everything is going ev with arguably better performance.

I get it's a speciality vehicle, but I think both the TRX and R are a little late with these vehicles. They would have made sense 2-3 years ago and not when we have multiple companies about to release evs

EVS represent around 5% of sales right now, as I understand it. EVs are coming, but they are not going to be replacing ICE that fast. How many EVs will sell 5 years from now. The Gen 2 was on sale for 4 years, and assuming the Gen 3 is also around for 4 years, seems like there is no reason to start abandoning the engine in it this early.

And it's not like EVs don't have issues to be worked out.

TRX is dominating the service lot at fiat dealers...

If you browse the TRX forums, that's really not the case. A nicely equipped TRX (with 801A equivalent) is about $85k average.

An extra 15k over that would undoubtedly price plenty of potential buyers out.

Plus, a price exceeding 100k (six figures) is a psychological hurdle that I'm not sure Ford or RAM want to go over.

I still think the R will sticker for about 85-90k because it will not be available with 37s.
