Let’s see the recovery / chase set up

Figure on average 0.6 per day x 4 days....... 2 spares MIGHT make it. I would have 3 if I could.

4 should fit depending on tire size and how you secure. I just threw these in the back after getting new wheels installed. I thought 4 would be great for a longer trip.

I've had 5 in my bed before, but that was unmounted, no wheels. I wouldn't want to baja with more than 2 or 3 mounted, and they would have to be VERY secure (chase rack).

Simpler is better. All those chase racks are crazy heavy and a pain to remove regardless of brand.

I like the idea of a chase style rack for spares, but want to make sure I can still fit 2 dirt bikes and the ramp in the bed. I use a wide ATV style ramp so I can walk the bikes up pretty easily.

If you're just driving around or doing sand dunes or easy trails, that might work. But in a real baja situation, that would NEVER work. You'd be leaving those out in the desert.

I had the Forged Offroad bed rack in my Gen2 and loved it. Two spares to the rear, 5 gallon fuel tank, pro eagle jack, CO2 tank, and a place to mount a tool box. The free space in the middle was a perfect fit for my cooler. I took it out when I traded up to the Gen3 and haven't decided to put it back in yet. I would definitely recommend some small tools like a shovel and axe or something that will cut shrubs and branches. I stored mine under the rear seat since the bed was full. Always better to have them and never need them!
