No theirs a tab where you can use a flat head screw driver. The light is in a little pod, but your going to have to cutt the pod open and reseal it when done.

yep, figured that out. didn't put on my glasses, and saw the screw tab, figured it just pried off. all is good now, got it out, going to get some sealant for it.

I did order two of these:

31mm DE3175 DE3022 High Power LED Bulbs For Car Interior Lights, Dome

which drop in there nicely (thanks Joker). they are more expensive than the other leds, with a pair coming in at $30 including shipping.

what bulb size is the ones in the third brake light for the bewd light??

It is WLED-WHP5, you need 2 of them.

Just an update.

I installed the puddle LED's today, and I have a few tips:

1. Separating the clear lens from the backing can be very tough. On my drivers side the piece just fell apart, mainly because I didn't realize the whole assembly came out. However the passenger one was bonded with cement, plutonium cement!

I used a small screwdiver, a wide mouth set of pliers and a heat gun. use the pliers to hold the assembly and then head the plastic on low heat, and get it hot. then use the small screwdriver the pry it apart. took me about 10 minutes of playing to get it apart.

I then used Goop to reseal everything and put it back together. now all my courtesy lights bed lights and backup lights are LED. they look pretty cool

installed these lights this morning - dome light, back up light, bed light and map lights.

so - the map lights really suck. I used some flat bladed needle nose pliers that I wrapped sticky side out with electrical tape. they are in there tight and still really didn't want to come out. the electrical tape put residue on the lights as they were still warm, then they stuck to my fingers and I was able to yank them out.

patience, cussing & time on that one.

Did mine this afternoon. I wiggled them side to side instead of pulling straight down. It seemed to work well but I lost one somewhere on the passengers side. Oh well, it will turn up eventually.

One tip... when replacing the third brake light / bed lights I ran a bead of silicone grease across the top and down the sides of the foam gasket. Just a little extra protection from water getting in there.
