The dome light wire is grey with a violet stripe. Schematics say the cargo light is a solid violet, never found it.

Edited the first post to show how I did it.

I picked up the LEDGLOWs lights...

I had to install at an angle as they are too wide to fit under the rail with the electric bed cover, but they are still out of direct sight and actually light up the bed completely. Will take pics and post. Like Ducati, I hooked it up to Aux 4. I should consider hooking it up to the dome light though I guess. It would make more sense that way, and would come on at more convenient times, like when I exit the truck and open the bed, they would be on, and auto shut off after a delay....something to think about.

Cool. Did you go with a specific color?

Also, did you consider using a switch on the bed like I installed?

Yeah, went with white, because I want it for function, not fashion. A switch in the bed seems like a really good idea, but Im still figuring it out. I kinda like using the dome lights to turn it on as it would be one less thing.

This past weekend I installed a 15M strip of white 12V LEDs around the bed, wired to a switch in the bed for easy on/off and directly to the battery. I wanted something that would work whenever I flipped the switch and that I would not have to enter the cab to turn on or off. They work great and are only on when you want them. I did have to fab a bracket for the switch. Will work great for those early morning hunts to see in the bed. Plenty bright too. Total cost was about $40.

Also, did you run just the single wire through tubing all the way? Thanks.

I also went that route with the switch. You should've went with the pod style switch, and it pops right into the factory holes used for the bed extender.
