On going issue with this dealer! Here's the story Truck went in to replace the lead frame due to speedometer loosing signal at times. They replaced the lead frame go to pick up the truck it wont move in gear now! So they say we need to replace the lead frame again it must be bad. Ok they replace it and call back saying the truck still wont move in gear we need to tear down to find the issue ..Ok wait one month now they call back your trans pump is bad gonna cost you 3500.00 to fix it! Im sure they focked up the job in the first place now Im supposed to pay for their screw up ! Truck has 68K trans should last a lot longer than that !Made a complaint with Ford no call back from them yet ..Anybody have any suggestions or went through this ?
If new trans is needed where should I buy from ? Not trusting these guys to repair the trans thinking of just getting a reman one if i need to go this route ..Dealer holding my truck hostage now .Any options ? Mahalos!

Hire an attorney to have them release your truck would be #1.

Social media sheetbag the dealership #2?

It’s called stealership for a reason. I can only imagine how much worse it is off the mainland.

Here in Kona Efree gas 4.48 gal. Filed complaint with Ford dont expect much to happen .Probably gonna have to get a reman trans to get the truck on the road again .They know they have the upper hand on you .Talked to another trans technician and pretty much agreed that they botched the lead frame job and didnt install the valve body to case seals correctly ..Sad part I have purchased a few trucks and cars from these guys over many years. My last truck 1999 F250 SCab 7.3L diesel was the best truck i ever had.It was getting old and loved the Raptor! Truck is not at fault its the stupid dealer!

I definitely wouldn't trust them to do anything to that transmission, except swap it out, their tech is obviously a f'n moron! I would get Ford customer service involved and maybe get some kind of a discount on a new one. Keep phoning for the area rep to come look at your truck, I would be livid. Keep your records of everything that has been going on, dates, times etc. Yes, they have you trapped and you will have to get the truck fixed there (logical) but you need somebody on your side to make the next repair in your favor and for you to trust it is done right.

Let your service advisor know that you are not happy (I'm sure you have already) and speak with the service manager to see if he can do anything, if nothing, just be professional and say you respect there decision but don't agree and start emailing, phoning and online chat with customer service to get a rep to come out.

The lead frame was actually installed incorrectly. Two points here would be that they need to make sure the have the plug fastened properly to the lead frame output and then inside the transmission there is a plastic piece that attaches to the lead frame. If this piece is not installed in the correct location, the transmission will not shift. I have seen this issue twice out of the 10 or so lead frames we have replaced. Both times the tech did not have this plastic slide piece in the right location...
