Lake Powell

Hey guys, kinda new here but at the end of September I’m taking my raptor to lake Powell with a few other Jeep’s and Tacoma’s. Does anyone know of a good off road trail to go all the way to lake Powell? I have a stock gen 2 raptor and everything else I’m going with is gonna be slightly modified smaller cars.

There's an amazing dirt road that goes from Escalante (Hole in the Rock rd) to Lake Powell...but I worry the Raptor would be too wide as it literally goes through a stream bed. At the least, take cottonwood canyon road from route 12 to HW89! Then N of Lake Powell, Alstrom Pt is a fun drive/beautiful overlook of the lake.

Yeah I’ve done the very beginning of hole in the rock just to the slot canyons but I’ve heard it can get narrow! Thanks for that hahah the biggest issue with these trucks on trails is the width haha

This is from Alstrom Point, across from Gunsight Point. Incredibly beautiful area. Get an early start out there. Not an area you want to navigate at night. There are several 1k’+ drop offs everywhere. If you stay the night out there like I did, bring some rat traps or an electronic deterrent. Those MFING Kangaroo Rats started eating my wiring in the middle of the night I had to keep starting the engine. One MFER ran across my wiper blades.

They are FNING Crazy They have chewed up all the wires on my hot-tub at home until I got some outdoor cats. I almost stayed in my tent, but thank God I got lazy and stayed in the cab. Very Expensive tow from there!

Awesome pics. Just got back from Powell, what an incredible landscape. Sometime i need to take just the Raptor and leave the boat at home so i can hit the trails in that area
