I spent some time in Outlaw's RSV3 last week... I must say, the Kings do make an impressive difference in the ride. The off-road performance was substantially better, but what surprised me was the fact it rode ON-road as good or better than stock!

How much more noise, if any, did the external by-pass valves make in the rear shocks?

Kings bypasses are usually really loud. But they will be in the back so it won't be as bad.

It's this aspect of the Kings that has been a barrier for me. No disrespect to King, as they are phenomenal shocks and would be, and have been, my first choice on a dedicated off-road truck.

However, since I drive my Raptor far more on the street than off-road, the added noise is a factor. Without actually hearing them it is very hard to quantify how much noise they will make and how annoying it will get. Unlike a good exhaust, the external valve clicks can really get under your skin.

Yes they were a little noisier... More clicking, but not noticeable on the highway, only when cruising when windows were down.

haha,
Be sure and send us a video when you do that with your stock suspension! I'll give you that the extra clearance of the bumper is probably a key mod for that type of air time, but there is no denying that the suspension is what is taking the abuse of 7000lbs launching and landing back to earth... and in this case doing it with confidence and composure. This is one of many videos from this guy doing it time after time. The rear foxes seem to be failing at 40k mi with average off road use, wonder what they would be like after a few sessions with this guy at the wheel. As for the extra power... eh, with headers, exhaust and tune your sitting at what, 35 extra hp? Nothing that will make a huge difference in performance, though it does sound great!
