How in the name of all things holy did you get the old nut bracket out? Or did you just leave it in the frame to rattle around  ?

I had better like the performance.

hopefully the last part tomorrow some time. I’m dreading bending the brake line mounts to avoid touching the torque arm.

Damn, y’all have basically talked me out of trying to install this myself. I’ll probably pay for a shop to do the work.

LOL! So I didn't bend the tabs on mine to get it in and the 2-3" hole close to the drill point let me get a finger on it to "flick it" out. Putting them in I used a stiff wire that I "S" bent thru the leading nut. This way when I got it to the drilled hole the wire would just slip out.

I don't blame you. If you don't have jack stands and let the rear suspension go to full droop this is literally impossible to get in without removing the drive shaft. I still don't think it's that terrible to get in but it really does suck doing this on your back.

@lateralis or anyone else running the torque arm - what are you doing to keep the rear brake lines from rubbing the torque arm at normal suspension drop or under compression for that matter?

KHC instructions say to bend the upper brake line mount up

Lastly install the new axle brake line bracket with the factory bolt and bend down the upper bracket slightly.Make sure the brake lines are not contacting the torque arm and at full droop they have enough slack. Bending theupper brake line bracket up slightly will be necessary

so I did that, but the lines still will fall down to touch the t/a at ride height. That doesn’t look safe.

After I installed the new brake line bracket to the rear diff I didn't touch anything else. Mine don't hit the arm from what I can see but I couldn't tell you from full compression. You have a picture of it? I can snap one later of mine if you want.

Huh... I need to look at mine now....

I think mine when I was done looked like your top pic, but I left the bracket alone. If they naturally stay up like the 1st pic I wouldn't touch them. I also wouldn't zip tie those to anything. Last thing you want is to tie them to something that doesn't move and you yank a break line off.

done, minus the diff shield. KHC suggested either tying the 2 lines together, angling the top bracket, or both. I can see just from some of our pics, as well as KHC’s we have a bit of variance from truck to truck and not just on the pumpkins, my rear lines seem a little longer than pics I’ve seen with good shots of the lines on other trucks. at least we have this as an option and so far, so good.

I did a shakedown run in 2h, and did my damndest to get some wheel hop. No luck. I did get some super long burnouts that I would have killed for when I was 17...

So I looked at mine and sure enough they are hitting the arm! What do they mean by tying the lines together? I don't see what that gets you unless we are talking pulling slack out by tying them back towards the hard lines. That doesn't sound like a good idea though.

I might just throw some split loom on them and call it a day. I think the only real concern would be that you rub a hole in brake lines. *shrug*
