Keyfob stopped working

Ford key fobs are living creatures. I had one quit working for months, changed batteries, cleaned it, massaged it, everything. Then one day i pulled it outta that dark drawer and it flippin worked. Like 7 months later. It just came back to life and has worked ever since no problem. These things are very odd.

I always keep a spare battery in my console. Is there a place to use the key to start it?

good idea to replace that spare every 2-3 years tops. They don’t keep as long in high heat.
