It's come time to sell it. I have a 2011 black crew with 39k on it, all options except graphics. Only extras are new Duratracs and Line-X. KBB's instant online offer here in socal is 42,700 (and they don't even factor those add-ons).

Does that seem like a decent price to avoid all the BS of trying to sell private party? I'd rather take a 1 or 2k hit to avoid jumping through hoops of selling it myself and maybe getting less if more 2017 info starts to roll out.

Any thoughts appreciated! Going to miss everything about this truck...except maybe the fuel efficiency.

Seems like a reasonable offer for a trade-in. Not sure how the socal market is, weren't they all marking up new ones $10k?

NADA for your year, mileage, and options is $41k for a clean trade in. Your area probably has a lot to do with it, but 42,700 seems like a good price to me for a pain free transaction.

Yep, that's here. This place is just stupid. May even be flying back east to get the new heap (Toiletta Taco). Everyone's apparently rich here...to the degree that I'm considering ****-ing this place altogether.

you and I did not go the same routes when buying our Raptors. I refuse to pay MSRP or markup on any new vehicle. Try and find a Focus RS. It is the same old story with Ford, sell specialty vehicles like the Boss 302, Raptor or GT500 for MSRP + 1000-5000 dollars. Then watch em pop up on Autotrader for half their original price in a few years with under 30-40-50 thousand miles.

Somebody just lost 10-20 maybe 30 grand on their vehicle. Makes sense to Ford must make sense to the owners.

I don't understand...what are you implying? I paid about halfway between MSRP and invoice for the Raptor. Yes, most dealers were charging $5-10k over even at that time.

You got a deal on a Raptor and so did I, would you have paid 5-10 grand over MSRP for your Raptor?

think not, which is what I was saying. Ford is capitalism, capitalism is Ford when you think of what is wrong with America think of Ford and their business practices.

All I was saying.

It's not Ford, its the greedy dealers. Granted the dealers represent Ford but since they don't own the dealerships, I believe they can't say much.

Not Ford, dealers are privately owned and make whatever they can.
I drove 4 hours and got my Raptor at $450 over invoice.
Same deal with special interest vehicles
