I was leary on the mounts also , as they seem kinda flimsy. Once installed they are strong. I had to grind the edges of the bracket so they sit flush in the drain rails. First time i used nut-sert also , i bought the nu-sert tool before i attempted install. It is strong i put alot of force up and down on brackets shaking the whole truck up and down and side to side, and they didn't budge. When light is mounted and rubber center mount is down , i have it against the metal roof not the windsheild ,it is very strong and tight, I shook the hell out of it fully assembled and it does'nt budge. I have checked the screws also and they have never loosened up. Now If they would stay attached in a accident that may be iffy. I would think you would need a full custom mount welded on or pass through bolts through the roof to a plate on the underside. The six i have mounted on my ADD bumper i made myself because it orginally just had 4 mount tabs for 4 Seperat lights. They are very bright , even the reflection off a white concrete building or glass windows will blind the crap out of yourself. Funny story , i had pulled into my work parking lot and parked in line with front entrance doors, which is tinted glass, i had the windows down , a co worker walked by on passeger side and , talked some kind of smack i waited till he walked past in front of my truck and hit all the lights , the reflection back from the doors blinded the shit out of him and myself. if you were to use the on the road and oncoming traffic you would definatly cause an accident. insanely bright.

Thanks for the thorough review!

I'm interested in 9 light with roof mounting. Need to maintain stock clearance for parking at work. That possible?

The 9-light setup is a bit lower profile than the 8 light setup, but still sits up above the roofline.

I'll send you a PM with more info!

@Nick
Can you do a 9 light setup for a 2000 F-250?
Would it need an additional roof brace?
How much $ delivered to 11030?

Hey Titus! We could do the 9-light version for you and it would include the brace. But you'd most likely have to make custom brackets for that application. Additionally, we could do an 8-light setup with brackets for you.

I'll send you a PM with more info!
