When they sprayed the wheel wells... did they have to remove the tires and rubber molding, or did they just spray around them?

Not sure, I didn't stick around or talk to the guys that did the work when I picked it up. I didn't notice any overspray in areas I wouldn't want it so if they did just mask everything off, they did a good job of it.

we usually leave the tires on with a truck that has as much clearance as the raptor does. some of the lower 2wds and usually on duallys we will put it up on jackstands and take the tires off for more clearance. we do ALOT of fenderwells.

Yup, that's how they did mine. They just masked off the body and tires, and hosed 'er down. With beautiful results, I might add.

Just got off the phone with my local Line-X and they said they don't do JUST the wheel wells. You need to have the bedliner done and then they'll throw in the wells. Well, WTF if I just want the wells?

Them: Sorry sir, we don't do just the underside.

which linex store are you dealing with? i have a store in mind in florida i KNOW does them... i could see wanting to do it WITH the truck bc it would make the job cheaper for you, but if someone wants something done, we make it happen. dont be surprised to pay a little more to remask the whole truck just to do the wheel wells though. id do yours on the silver truck before you get a chance to get the wheel wells too dirty. the longer you wait the harder it is to get them completely clean to spray.

May be a naive question, but I've been thinkin on gettin my wells done too... but I've had my truck for a while now.

When you get the wells done, do they clean them out first? Or are you expected to bring it in all prettied up and ready to go?

I mean, don't get me wrong I'd clean it up first anyways, just out of courtesy.. but... wondering if they make extra sure once it's in the shop? It's gonna get dirty during the drive there.

going rate for wheel wells can be as high as $100 per side. ive seen shops charge less and some charge more. when people ask me about cleanliness, of course we would like to see it as clean as possible. yes it saves us some effort, but in the end remember who is paying for all of our efforts. also remember that the cleaner your truck comes to us, the better the end result will be.
