Just bought MPT...suggestions?

After much deliberation I decided to go with an MPT tune. Any suggestions on what tunes to get? Obviously I will get the 93PRX as 93 octane is available in my area. Is the 91PRX a good backup tune in case I’m in an area devoid of 93 octane? I do NOT tow any toys or trailers often enough to constitute a “tow tune”. I am also planning on adding an FMIC, SPD adapters, possibly downpipes, and an exhaust (AWE 2fg). Is getting an updated tune necessary after the additional mods? Does MPT do updates free of charge? Is there a maximum time frame for updates after purchase of the tuner/tunes? Thx for any help you all might lend. If this is a repeat thread, I apologize in advance.

$25 per update, I suggest just go with 91x and 93x I never used my 3rd tune (91 tow)

I'm using 93x now

Pretty much everything except for downpipes

I got the to tune it with the stuff I knew I was getting 100% first so after I installed all the parts I threw in the tune instead of paying 25 each new add on I bought..

I would also suggest getting the 93PR-X with no trans tuning. After having both for a while, some of the things that I did not like about the factory tune (early shift points, pronounce skip gear shifting, etc..) actually work pretty well with the extra power.

I am new to this site and i just bought a 2019 raptor, traded my 2017 F350 platinum ( loved the truck but don't needed a super duty any longer) so far i love the raptor but i only had it for couple of days, i was thinking on getting a tune from MPT but i don't know if i should wait and put some miles on it or not so any suggesting will be appreciated.

I am new to this site and i just bought a 2019 raptor, traded my 2017 F350 platinum ( loved the truck but don't needed a super duty any longer) so far i love the raptor but i only had it for couple of days, i was thinking on getting a tune from MPT but i don't know if i should wait and put some miles on it or not so any suggesting will be appreciated.

Personally I’d wait a bit get some miles on it make sure nothing funky pops on drivetrain-wise. That’s the course I took have 12.5k miles on my ‘18 & haven’t tuned it yet....spent plenty of $$ on other mods but between the 100k extended warranty I have on it & just wanting to make sure there aren’t any issues w/ cam phasers or this new tranny I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

MPT seems to be the consensus pick for making the most power, not necessarily “the best”- depends who you ask & what your goals are I guess.

It would suck to pay $700 for a tune/tuner right off the bat on a $70k vehicle only to have some engine issue pop up in the first couple thousand miles & having repair work denied

I would give it 5K miles before installing a tune. If something went wrong, you could always reinstall the stock tune, but waiting a little just to make sure all is well would be advisable.

I agree with the above, wait about 5k miles or so and make sure all is right on your truck. I think I had about 6k miles when I put my MPT tune on. I am very happy with it.

Ask your local dealer, my dealer is fine with tune and mods, as long as they install it so all the electrical, and suspension stuff I have them do it..
