I did mine as soon as I could get all of the parts together for my build, so it took me about 3 months and 2K miles. I would have done the MPT tune much sooner as a standalone project had I known how much better my truck was going to perform.

Unlike the others, I say do NOT wait to tune it! The more you wait, the longer you have to drive a stock truck...

PS. What kind of lift do you have on your truck?

Just got my tune installed today, MPT 93-PRX. Wow.....just wow! I’ve only got about 10 minutes around town on the tune but it hauls balls! Seriously, it pulls like a train any time you ask it. Turbos are instantly there, shifts seem more natural. Can’t wait to get more mods to support the tune. I’ve got 37” Toyo MTs and the truck still pulls hard. Thx for all the suggestions from members.

Any of you with the MPT tune run it with the Pedal Commander? That is what I'm currently using and if I get a tune I'm wondering whether to keep it on or get rid of it. I really enjoy the quick response with the PC. Hopefully the MPT tune has increased the throttle response where the PC is not needed any longer. Thanks.

I sold my PC when I ordered my tune. After I drove it with tune didn’t feel like I needed to add it back.

If you want a more aggressive throttle response, they can build that into the tune, so no need for a Pedal Commander.

I like my MPT tune! They smoothed out the 4th to 5th gear shift in sport mode for me, shifts like butter now!

I have MPT tunes that I really like and their customer service is top notch. That said, they recently sent me the 93-PRX tune that they are sending everybody which is a ton of fun and really smooth, but I get what I call throttle blips in the upper gears when it kicks down to a lower gear. Essentially, if my truck kicks down from 10th to 9th gear, I will see and hear the PRMs rise as it is going into 9th gear and then they will lower fairly significantly (maybe 500 to 700 RPMs) while still in 9th gear before they rise due to acceleration. Is anybody else seeing this on their 2019? I would expect the RPMs to rise due to the downshift, but once in 9th gear, I would expect them to start at a given point and then go up from there before dropping back down when the truck shifts into 10th. Essentially, my RPMs while in 9th gear start high, drop a bunch, and then climb while accelerating???

I haven’t noticed this problem yet but, I’ve only got about 40 miles on the tune.
