I'm in the same boat as you, I want to tune but reliability is top priority so which tune.

So far after much research I've narrowed it down to JDM or the one from Gearhead which utilizes the transmission in their tune also but worked with the Cobb IC and CAI.

Our tunes work with the COBB intake and IC as well ;) We have used their parts along with Whipple, AFE, and a few other brands, all work with our custom tuning!

What is the purpose of putting the FORSCAN files back to stock, as I have never heard doing this before installing any tune?

We are doing this as precaution due to the flashing process interacting with multiple modules.
We do not want to open the door for any issues to arise from modules trying to communicate.
Although we have not experienced any issues, we'd rather err on the side of caution regarding a flash.

I installed the JDM Engineering custom tune with the new plugs into my 2019. The process was without issues. I made sure to use a trickle charger and checked the gaps on the spark plugs. At the same time I did my first oil change and installed the Fumoto 107N drain plug.

I am very impressed with the Raptor’s new performance map. In normal mode it shifts smoothly and finds the right gear when cruising. When I punch the throttle it responds with an appropriate throttle response. In sport mode the truck really shines and in sport mode manual it is a blast! I am waiting to receive my Whipple CAI and IC to make my stage 1 upgrade complete. I highly recommend this tune. It is exactly what I was hoping for to maximize the output and delivery of the trucks potential.

Ahem... I, uh, have a complaint about this tune, Nick. Really sad to report that....

My rear tires are wearing out much faster than expected! LOL

You might want to put some fine print saying, premature tire wear is imminent. please use all wheel drive when applicable.

Ok- been running tune in multiple tanks. Overall it’s a good tune!

MPG gain, people smoking something. I got 14 MPG no tune, 14 MPG 5 star Tune and same with JDM

I’m sure everyone knows when you tune the computer MPg is wrong. You have to manually calculate it with miles/gallons.

No my computer says I am doing better, but reality. Nope
