Unfortunately both modes are not ideal for road conditions. It's also a kind if a hassle. I wish we has the camera on demand...

this is what i got when i wrote to them:

Thanks so much for the information. Great News! The Sync factory Ford radio with the internal hard drive ("Jukebox" mode) is completely compatible with the Coastal Electronics Sync LockPick. This LockPick offers features such as NAV in motion, video in motion, and camera on demand (if equipped) which allows full camera viewing in any gear! If your vehicle is not currently equipped with a factory camera, you would be able to add up to two cameras to the vehicle using our SyncCam cable (see chart for your particular vehicle) as well as one (or two) of the great cameras that we offer. I have included a link to the Sync LockPick below. If you have any questions regarding the Sync LockPick or would like to place an order for your vehicle, please feel free to contact me at the information below. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

Just called LockPick. Front camera on demand is a NO GO.

Supposedly, the front camera works with the "Ford cluster"? (That's what the guy called it). And LockPick doesn't interact with it. So, unless LockPick begins to make a system that interacts with that... then we're SOL with LockPick at least.

Man o man I wish someone knew how to change this...

If your vehicle is not currently equipped with a factory camera, you would be able to add up to two cameras to the vehicle using our SyncCam cable

So in theory we can add the front cam to that interface. If lockpick unit allows you to 'freely' add one more camera to its interface, then one could remove the front camera from ford cluster, attach it to lockpick second cam connection. Sure this means you wont be able to use the front camera as intended by ford, but you should be able to see it differently on demand from lockpick interface. Probably needs to be separately powered as well, but at the end, the front cam should be standard AV output and two power cable cam like any other cam. Dont have my vehicle yet so cant verify.

Another idea that i can throw out there (way out!..) is to split the cam output, let one go to original cluster, second goes anywhere you wish. connect your own 12V power to the camera power cable (place diode to the split 12V cable going to original cluster so you dont back feed power to the cluster).

Yup, pretty sure you'll find my cold dead corpse somewhere before you see me messing with this level of wiring on my Raptor with 40 miles on it. :Grenade:

Not saying it couldn't work though.
