First off I don't want to drive in AWD all the time. Guys your not getting what I am saying. The TSB says for all NON RAPTOR models. This means all F150's EXCEPT the raptor to this TSB. In my eyes it the wheel actuator is bad they should replace it. They did the TSB and I had them put it back to way the factory built it. I want the actuator replaced. I have been in touch with ford and they sent a email to my dealer. They also agree I am not part of the TSB.

Did RCV IWE Delete with RCV axles on my Gen1 , never looked back no more grinding and popping . Yes front axles spin and freewheel front driveshaft in 2 HI , so there is a hit to MPG other than that four wheeling is non issue . If / when my Gen2 starts having issues , RCV IWE delete kit going on .

Its not in 4wd all the time. I do agree that its not the correct way to fix it and that they should properly fix/replace the issue vs capping it off. But its not in 4wd until you engage it in the front dif.

I'm bringing my truck in next week for some IWE issues. I plan on supplying all the TSBs and making sure they know it does not apply. I'm debating pulling a wheel and applying vacuum like seen in some troubleshooting videos, hopefully I can document the issue enough that they take me seriously. Symptoms are what feels like binding/grinding at slow speeds/braking from the drivers side front wheel. @FordTechOne is it worth it to replace the solenoid in advance of my visit? I replaced the check valve a little over a year ago when the issue popped up once or twice.

Just had both my IWEs replaced on my 2021 under warranty. They were bad for a while, but got it in just before the 60K warranty was out with 59,932 miles on her. There was no argument either. The other issue, the TSB for exhaust rattle, they were going to cover under my Premium ESP, but then said they couldn't and wanted $900. I ended up replacing the springs for the exhaust valves myself.
