This thread is fascinating, so many people telling others what they should want in their trucks. People like v8s , peope like TT v6s. People will buy what they want to buy. Which means both will sell for years to come. Dodge used a supercharger on the Demon despite knowing turbos would be better performance wise. They did it because they knew customers wanted a supercharged engine.

I like v8 engines. I also like my gen2 HP and torque numbers. Thankfully we dont live in a socialist "paradise" so customers can choose what they want. And until someone starts paying for my truck, I'm gonna keep making my own decisions.

It would be interesting to see what happened to 5.0 sales if Ford offered the Raptor's HO EB in the Ltd, Plat, KR, and Lariat trims. I bet 5.0 sales would collapse overnight. I actually think this is more likely than the 7.0 rumors. HO is already in the Lincoln and it makes sense to roll it out to other lines. That would be the death blow for V8s in the half-ton segment.
