caveman lol. there is nothing revolutionary about the ecoboost engine other then the fact ford was the first to put a gas turbo v6 in a half ton truck. seems to me an aston and then the vettes won again the following years in that class. would you consider an lt6 a caveman engine? probably because it doesn't have the blue oval on it. i get it your passionate for the brand you work for but i also went through the asset program on scholarship and worked for ford dealers for a number of years while apparently living in a cave lol
The GM LT series is a great engine, just like the LS was. Same with the Chrysler Hemi, I happen to own one. You’re making a lot of assumptions and simply making an ass of yourself.

Do you own a Raptor? Or are you just here to make stupid comments?

You've lost all credibility now.

6.2: 580lbs
Gen 2 3.5: 416lbs

That’s complete engine (including manifolds and turbos) without accessory drive components.

Over 160lbs less weight over the front axle is huge, especially in a high speed off road truck.

The shipping weight of the Whipple Supercharger kit alone is 160lbs, so now you’re 320lbs+ heavier over the front end. And you’ll still get smoked by a Goosetuned Gen 2!
160 lbs is alot, I will agree with you, but thats more than I remember when we corner weighted my 14 VS the 17 we had. Probably should have taken pictures..lol

As for my supercharged 6.2 getting "smoked" by a tuned Gen 2... That never happened, not in the dirt and not going to Starbucks. Im sure there are some very fast tuned eco boost trucks running around, but I never had one get past my door from a 30mph roll.

Anyway, not looking to get into any BS G1 vs G2, they are both great trucks, I was just sharing my personal experiences with my supercharged 6.2 and pointing out the weight advantage is not that much.

Well, like you said, the weight is significant. 160lbs in engine weight alone, and 600lbs+ difference in the total vehicle weight even without the 160lb+ aftermarket supercharger kit on the Gen 1.

I’ve never encountered a Gen 1 guy that would even look me in the eye at a light, never mind line up. Anecdotal one-off claims are one thing, would be cool to get some forum members together at a drag strip to see who has the fastest and best performing truck!

Yes, but almost anything with a motor could use to be a little bit faster.
