I don't see how the lights in the center have anything to do with the width of the raptor. The additional ones on the outer corners of the fenders, yes, but in the center? I don't see any point other than looks.

Plus, how many cops would really know that it was illegal if you removed them if in fact the center ones are required? I'm going to guess maybe 1 in 10,000.

I am also one of those 1 in 10k as well it seems.. Not only am I aware of the legal necessity for those marker lights I am also aware of DOT codes regulating the legal colors for forward facing lights, or most any lights in many cases, for vehicles.

The easiest answer is to not change the color of the legally mandated lights in the grill but if you must, then be a big boy about it and don't come on here crying if/when you get pulled and cited.

Do I personally care if someone changes the color? Nope, doesn't even register on my care - o - meter.. Would I cite you if I had you pulled for something else and you were being an ******? In a second.

Cops are going to notice different color lights in the grille far sooner than just removing the factory ones.

i have to agree with that man ...i work the night shift the 2 things that stand out like sore thumbs are headlights out an "added, or no stock" color light a vehicle with bright purple or green lights on its grill is like asking for attention......that being said i feel the 3 lights add character to the truck an kinda make it stand out it must look mean in your rear view mirror those flying up on yah

Just chiming in and agreeing, a good way to get stopped is changing the color. Very few cops may notice them missing however. That being said, state troopers on the other hand are well versed on what lights are required. Amber and white only colors allowed visible from the front.

The total number required is 5. It is the same on duallies. They just have all five across the top for the front.

As mirrors are safety equipment, they are not figured into the total width of the vehicle.

Lol there is no closet here...
No I always liked those purple microdots (no, not the acid) we used to put on tail-lights to make the whole assembly look purple instead of red. Just not a fan of Amber.

I have a 2011 SC Raptor but I don't have three red lights in the rear upper brake light assembly. The only red LED's that are on are the two at the rear fenders.
But... I would like to know if anyone has been able to get the LED's working with the daytime running lights (I am in Canada)
My Ford dealer was not abloe to switch them on using their laptop.

One of my best friends is a Gulf Shores detective, straight up told me if he sees neon colored lights, big rims, blacked out windows he will try and find a reason to pull them over. Just saying most cops I know love my truck and others like it and will leave us alone b/c its just a cool truck but when you Fast & Furious it out.. Just asking for a citation.

The S-Crew and S-Cab have different third brake lights. The S-Crew has three small LED's that look super cool, not sure why S-Cab does not have these cool lights or if they can be swapped out?
I am in Canada and was surprised to see that the amber's are not on with automatic headlights or what ever its called.
If any one removes the amber's from the grill PM me. I would be interested if you would like to sell them.
