Is it possible to add cooled seats?

Cooled seats

Anyone know if OEM Ford cooled seats can be retrofitted onto a 2010 Raptor? I know other F-150's have them.

Thanks

I remember hearing from the Ford guys that the cooled seats were an option they wanted to offer but for some reason they would not work in the Raptor... I don't remember why... if they said why... my guess is that the seats are the issue so if you changed out the whole seat assembly it could probably work?

Interesting. Yes the seats would probably need to be swapped with ones that are properly perforated for the cooling to work. In our climate here it is something I would consider doing even though I love the Orange accents on my Raptor.

You can not cool the existing seat, the material is to dense and designed as such special for the truck. Heating is not an issue, but cooled air will not pass. You need to replace the seats and I just don't see that as a plus for cooled seats, even here in the desert. I checked into this with some contacts back in MI and that is what I was told.

Thanks for your input. You don't think it is worth it because of cost or how complicated it would be? I have cooled seats in my other car and would pay to have it on my Raptor during our summer months.

Well for me, the seats are an upgrade over a standard F150 and I really like the feel. I would be hard pressed to find a set of seats I like better, that have a material and build out to allow airflow. However, I have never tried to search, they may indeed be out there.. If I could get my exact seats cooled as an option, I would JUMP on that for sure! Ford... PLEASE!!!!! LOL

I'd probably be willing to do that depending on the price. What about the electrics and any programming involved?
