I was thinking you should tint your third brake light, but on the silver it doesn't look bad.
If you do tint it, put little round stickers over the three red LEDs so the don't get covered by the night shade. Then remove the stickers once the tint dries. No more than three coats. Otherwise it's too dark.

Is it easiest to remove the third brake light or just tint it on the truck?

Highly recommend after you do 3 medium coats of nite shades that you let it cure for at least 24 hours in a 70 degree temp,
that you add 2-3 coats of automotive clear after you remove the 3 circles covering the led's.
This will protect it and give the tint a nice depth look.
