Guys getting Snoball500 WSI racks may want to make sure they can get these loose before heading up.

Good luck.

AGREE 100% with this.
I'll be cutting these off for sure. 4 of them will come out but 2 need to be cut out.
Anyone know all the steps in removing the bed. I will have to install new fixed nuts for the 2 bolts.
I know it's the 6 bed bolts and the fill cap has a screw tied to the bed, also tail light plugs.
Anything else I may need to remove??

Excellent point Joe! These are practically impossible to remove with a hand rachet. If guys are going to install thier new racks in the parking lot of the Casino with hand tools....There is going to be a whole lotta cursing going on!!

If you want to torque on it you can try welding a big nut or bolt to the head of the bed bolt and use a six point socket on it. It your trying to cut the bolt it will be easier to break the head off by drilling in the center of the bolt head, going bigger with the drill bit till there's nothing holding the head on.

Sounds good. I'll be drilling them out, been trying to find some new ones but no one has any. So I have to order them.
Thanks

I've been trying to get mine out for a couple weeks now. I'm on my 4th T50. I've been spraying PB on the bolts every other day trying to get them loose. And yeah the breaker bar with a cheater only speeds up breaking bits.

I did what Hockster suggested on my last 2 that wouldn't come out and heated it for 30 seconds and BOOM came right out.
Used a plumbing torch with Matt gas to get them hot. Hockster is the man!
On my broken one I removed all the bolts and 3 screws from inside the gas cap and a clamp around the gas pipe in the wheel well,
then tipped up the bed far enough to slide out the nutsert and put in a new one.
Middle ones clip into truck frame no other way around it. Bed is back on and back on track.
These bolts aren't cheep, bought 3 and paid $63 now I have 2 sitting on my bench cause I was able to get them out.
Live and learn.
