Step 1

Building the sockets for a quick release Rack.
Purchased a 2' peice of tubing that allows the 1 3/8" tubingto slide into it.
I cut 4 (1 1/2') peices.

Next I drilled out ends to cap off the tubing.

Ground down all the rough edges and set it up for welding together.
Place a socket in the center of the tubing that allowed the ends to be slightly recessed in.
Tacked it up and welded it together. Then I ground it down to make a nice finished look.

Next I removed the bed bolt and ground down the edge to allow me to remove the washer.
Drilled out the hole in the socket to the bolt size and bolted it to the bed.

HELP!
Need ideas on how to get these out.
Am I gonna have to cut them out. Left one was super tight but got it to finally turn but that's all it does is turn. Right one will not even turn and I've broken 3 (T-50) sockets trying to get it out.
There isn't even access to the nuts on the bottom cause it goes down into the frame.
I can't even an area to spray PB Blaster, I have the RPG brace in that area and the hole is no more.
I really don't want to take it off.

Ironman,

Mine were in like a MFer too. I used an impact wrench. Worse case scenerio, you may need to use the bolts closest to the bulkhead, sorry man!

Ironman,

Mine were in like a MFer too. I used an impact wrench.

I tried but the left all it does is spin and the right won't even move with the impact. Used a breaker bar and there went 3 (T-50's)
I'm ready to take it to the dealer and say "REMOVE PLEASE".

Rut row...

Guys getting Snoball500 WSI racks may want to make sure they can get these loose before heading up.

Good luck.
