Intermittent grinding/humming

Hi All,

Original Owner of a GEN2 2019 Ford Raptor SCREW, 79K miles (truck is stock).
I'm trying to pinpoint an intermittent humming/grinding noise before it becomes a bigger issue.
Symptoms:

1. Faint grinding noise from the front left wheel when turning fully to the right and in reverse (e.g., pulling out of a parking spot). The noise is light but vibrates through the floorboard, gas, and brake pedals.
2. Light humming/grinding/binding when coming to a stop (~5 MPH), especially when the truck is cold. This vibration also reverberates through the floorboard, gas, and brake pedals.
3. Excessive winding/grinding in 4A under moderate to heavy acceleration, heard from inside the cab. The noise disappears when switching back to 2WD. While some 4WD noise is expected, I compared it to another 2019 Raptor, and mine is about twice as loud. Could this be related to my other issues?

I suspect wheel bearings, hubs, hub actuator, or CV axle, but I’m not certain. The truck is under warranty, but despite multiple dealership visits, they can't replicate the issue so no further investigation gets done.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated—this is driving me crazy!

My 2018 has this same thing going on. I thought initially it was the IWE valve. That didn’t resolve it. I seem to have a slight wheel hop as well.

I have the same thing going on and plan on taking it to the dealer within the next week or two. I'll keep ya posted if they find the problem. Please post any updates you have in the meantime. Thanks.

Great, thanks keep me posted. I am going to try and diagnose this more in the next few weeks as well. I plan to take it to the dealership sometime next week and will let you know what comes of it.

Definitely the hub, actuator, and cv not meshing together properly, sucks that your dealer won't just replace the parts. I also replaced the entire vacuum harness, and that had helped, but I have Gen 1, so it was obviously older than yours

I wish they would just take it apart and inspect it. I have spent so much time back and forth to the dealer without them really doing anything. Going to really try and press them to dig into this more on my next trip.
